Realism | Impressionism

My current focus revolves around the natural work and how we relate to it. Using primarily acrylic paint, I achieve this through my "Imposter" series as well as my subject paintings of landscapes and animals.

Currently an exhibiting artist and co-owner at Art on the Square Gallery in Summerville, SC.

My Art Journey

I’m a traditional artist who loves painting animals and the natural world. I work mainly in acrylics, using both realistic and expressive details to capture the personality and spirit of each subject.

As a mom of two, I’m constantly inspired by my boys and the things they find fascinating. I try to see the world the way they do, where everything feels new, bright, and full of wonder. It’s easy to overlook the beauty in everyday moments, but kids have a way of noticing what we miss.

Through my work, I hope to encourage a deeper appreciation for the animals we share this world with and to remind people of the connection between humans and nature.

Art has always been an escape for me, but I didn’t really start focusing on it until high school. When I went to college, I majored in Fine Arts at Winthrop University. Unfortunately, I faced a lot of discouragement along the way and eventually changed my major to a minor. After that, art took a bit of a back seat in my life.

I didn’t truly reconnect with my creativity until I was 25, when I started exploring acrylic painting. That’s when everything clicked again.

Now, at 29, I’m happy to say my love for art is fully back. I’m currently a co-owner and exhibiting artist at ART on the Square Gallery, where my work is available to view and purchase. My goal is to keep growing as an artist, continue moving forward in my career, and become more involved in the art community around me.
